Did anyone tell you things were bad in New York?
Nothing is going well for the Rangers, who have collected only three small victories in their last thirteen outings.
For a club with talent like the Blue Shirts, this is unacceptable.
Kaapo Kakko was left out of his team’s last match by Peter Laviolette because he has been inconsistent since the start of the season.
But Kakko really didn’t digest his coach’s decision.
The striker appeared in front of journalists today with one goal in mind: to make his coach look bad with criticism.
Kakko doesn’t understand why he was left out since according to him, he is not “the worst” player at the club… And he says that leaving out a young player like him is much easier than taking a decision concerning a veteran:
Ish…
Kakko not only disrespected his coach: he also said out loud that he thinks some of his teammates are worse than him.
And comments like that never go down well in a hockey room. I tend to believe that it’s not good for his image…
There is real discord within the Rangers organization and it’s starting to get ugly.
After all, when a player takes the trouble to criticize his coach and teammates after being left out, it’s never a good sign.
And that won’t move things forward in my eyes. All it does is add frustration within the group…
The Rangers need to find a way to get back on track because there will be inevitable changes otherwise.
The timing is funny, though, because goaltender Igor Shesterkin just signed a contract extension worth $92 million…
