Bruges finds a solution with a “new” jersey sponsor

Club Brugge can approach the new year with a lot of confidence. On a sporting level, everything is going perfectly, and the financial situation of the Blue and Black is solid. Now a solution has also been found regarding the jersey sponsor.

Return to the blue and black

The reigning champion started the season hesitantly, but has returned to a very high level in recent weeks. Since the last international break, the Club has won all its championship matches, thus moving within a small point of first place.

Golden European results

In Champions Leaguethe Club’s performances are also impressive this season. With a nice 10 points out of 18, the Bruges residents are well on their way to qualifying at the end of the League Phase. These sporting successes are logically accompanied by financial success.

Last week it was announced that the Club is in the process of establishing a revenue record in the Champions League. This adds to an already positive financial situation, with accounts largely in the green. Everything therefore seems under control for the reigning champions, except for one detail.

A new identity on the jerseys

From January, laws regarding gambling advertising will be tightened. Consequently, professional clubs will no longer be able to display betting companies as main sponsors on their jerseys. A problem for Blue and Blackwho have for some time been bearing the name of Unibet on their tunics.

A regulatory solution found

According to The Latest NewsClub Brugge, however, found an escape. From January, the jerseys will display “U-Experts” as main sponsor. This name represents a platform specializing in detailed statistics and analyzes of sporting events. Although U-Experts either a branch of Unibetit is not directly a gaming company, which allows Club Brugge to remain in compliance with the new legislation.
