First of all, at 3 p.m., the – 18 D3 faced the Rodez team, first in the ranking. A close match from start to finish which unfortunately did not turn out in favor of the Greens. Final score: 26-23. In the process, the – 18 Nationals were opposed to Pau, leader of the group. The outcome of the match was undecided until the 45th minute, when the visitors only led by 3 small points. The lack of experience at this level, however, got the better of the young Albigensians, who collapsed at the end of the match: 25-39 at the final whistle.
To close the day, the Senior Boys’ I team hosted Carmaux. A well-known opponent, and difficult to maneuver in recent years. In this match, the defenses clearly take the upper hand over the opposing offensives. But pushed by a packed gymnasium which gave voice in the crucial moments, the Albigensians finally won 23 to 21.
For the last match of this beautiful day, the Senior Girls welcomed the Ouest Tarn team at 9 p.m. Despite a sluggish start to the match, the Albigensians relied on their fundamentals and their audience to overcome their neighbors: 29-27. Beyond the results, we will remember many beautiful things from this day, which brought together all the generations of the club in the stands.
