When Demidov decides to humiliate his opponent before scoring a magnificent goal

In the last days, Ivan Demidov took part in a three-on-three competition between representatives of Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and the rest of the world.

It was on the sidelines of the “Channel One Cup” tournament, which is currently continuing in Russia.

The Canadian prospect did well in the competition, as he was named tournament MVP.

The matches in question were not broadcast in Quebec and it was difficult to find images of Demidov.

That said, the Dom_Habs account on Twitter managed to get their hands on a video of Demidov where we see him score a simply magnificent goal. The site HabsolumentFan also published an article on the subject.

Demidov recovered the puck in his zone before breaking the defender’s ankles with a nice feint… And he then put the goaltender down before sending the puck into the top of the net with his backhand.

A goal that deserves to be seen and re-watched:

To score a goal like that, it takes talent.

That said, we know that Demidov has good hands and is creative with the puck.

And at this level, I imagine that the defender hadn’t really done his homework before facing the Canadian’s hope… Because he looked a little crazy when he fell on his butt after being made to take off your pants like this.

Obviously it was a 3-way match. 3 which did not count in the KHL rankings and this goal, in the end, did not have any importance.

But to see Demidov having fun on the ice and to see him with a certain freedom, it’s refreshing too.

Because if he had tried this feint in the SKA uniform during a match and he had lost the puck, Roman Rotenberg would have nailed him to the bench until the end of the match.

There, he had no one to fall on his head even if he tried fantasies on the ice.

In burst

– The Canadian is among the most punished teams in the National League.

– It’s not like he has a million choices either…

– Devin Shore is placed on waivers by the Wild.

– I like his answer.

– Bon.
