Amateur Rugby: solid runner-up to Nationale 2 at the confectioners’ truce, RC Auch confirms its revival

Auch is an emblematic place for French Rugby, the FCAG has kept the flame alive for a long time and has trained leading boys. The rugby world knows all that. Then came the troubles until the end of Football Club Auch. The Rugby Club Auch was born in the dew of the morning after given birth by new leaders, eight years ago. This RCA has quickly grown to find itself in Nationale 2 for three seasons. This level is more in line with the prestige of the prefecture city and the reputation of Gers rugby.

This season, RC Auch has been at the top of the N2 poster (pool 2) for 4 months. A new level set up by the Auscitains. These owe it largely to the family aspect of the club and to the return to the nest, little by little, of the nuggets formed in Auch, who left almost everywhere in France. This season, players like Clément Pérusin, Aurélien Labau, Géraud Clermont and Sylvain Abadie have returned to the fold. Others followed their friends, such as Thibaut Moléana, the Blagnac center. Still others wanted it like Matias Martiello, the Argentinian winger from Lannemezan, Alexandre Raynier, the Belgian international hooker, Aubin Borie, the halfback from Briviste, Bastien Trape, the second row from Ariégeois or Juan Noriéga, the center from Soyaux-Angoulême .

Young Hopes come to take playing time and the old ones in place provide the link in order to create a total osmosis around the emblematic captain Théo Thierry. With these components, the group coached by three pure Auscitains coaches Grégory Menkarska, Frédéric Pujo and Julien Campo created an excellent and healthy atmosphere, which is certainly the main ingredient of the current success.
