The Montreal Canadiens’ season has been difficult so far, with a team struggling to find consistency on the ice. The lack of cohesion in the collective game complicates things, leaving supporters often frustrated.
Among the players who are experiencing difficulties, Kirby Dach unfortunately stands out for a disappointing start to the season. After a promising performance in the 2022-23 season, he appears to be having issues maintaining a consistent pace and asserting himself in key moments after spending the last season away from the game.
His weak offensive contribution, his often questionable involvement and his inability to generate significant chances are worrying, while the team would greatly need his contribution to play the role of 2nd center. However, with the long season ahead of them, the Canadian and Dach will still have the opportunity to turn things around.
Invited to the Antichambre recently, Karell Émardformerly of the Montreal Canadiens in the CWHL, suggested removing Dach from the lineup and replacing him with Michael Pezzettawho has only played 3 matches since the start of the season.
