The coach of the Moroccan team, Walid Regragui, is expected to fly to Turkey next January to meet Moroccan players playing in the local championship.
The program of this visit includes meetings with Youssef En-Nesyri and Sofyan Amrabat, the two Moroccan internationals from Fenerbahçe who are currently shining in Türkiye.

The coach is also expected to speak with Galatasaray star Hakim Ziyech, despite the latter’s absence in some recent matches. The Moroccan player could, however, have already changed clubs, Rennes being on the short list of next destinations during the winter transfer window.
According to sources close to the matter, these trips allow the coach to evaluate the form of the players, to closely monitor their development and to ensure their physical and mental preparation for the challenges to come.
This trip to Türkiye follows similar visits to Qatar and France. Other countries could be visited by the national coach and his team with a view to selecting the best elements for the African Cup of Nations which will take place in Morocco.
