The feat at Bosuil is forgotten: Charleroi is scuttled at Louvain

After finding the post twice in the first period, Sporting Charleroi offered nothing more after the locker room. OHL, although far from being flamboyant, took advantage of it, but can also thank the Zebras who scuttled themselves.

After a start to the match that wasn’t particularly fanfare, it was OHL who lit the first fuses, via Mitrovic who found Koné on his way (11th), then N’dri whose deflected shot brushed the post (15th). From the post, it will then be a question when Charleroi finally puts its foot on the accelerator.

First, Perfect Guiagon is almost at the conclusion of a splendid action by the Zebras, but his curling shot crashes into the square (27th). Then, from a corner, it was Aiham Ousou who saw his recovery deflected by Leysen onto his own slat (30th). OHL finished the first half strong by forcing an intervention from Koné but on points, Charleroi was ahead at the break, if not in the score.

But the gods of football care little about merit: in the second half, Sporting Charleroi will get back on the pitch very badly. Not that OHL is any better: the level is simply falling catastrophically. Titraoui strikes on Leysen (55th) after a catastrophic loss of the ball full axis.

Charleroi is scuttled

But Louvain will open the score on what is not even an opportunity: Jocelyn N’dri strike from more than 25 meters, a vicious curled ball which deceives a not impeccable Mohamed Koné (60th, 1-0). The Zebras are punished. They will have the opportunity to escape through the back door when Titraoui obtains a penalty, which Daan Heymans misses quite miserably (77th).

At the same time, ball in the other foot: Stelios Andreoualready warned, roughly stops Ikwuemesi on a counter and is logically excluded (78th). Sporting had already changed channels at the break: this time, they turned off the altogether. The Zebras supporters, if they did it at home, will not have missed anything apart from a post from Siebe Schrijvers (83rd).

Even in the seven minutes of added time, the opportunities will be at Louvaniste… and Old Dabbagh will also be excluded for trying to hit an opponent (90th+8). The victory at Bosuil was quite a tour de force, but it won’t go far if the Zebras continue with this kind of performance…
