Paris Games medalists decorated with one of the two national orders

Welcome to this live broadcast dedicated to the “parade of champions” of the Paris Olympic and Paralympic Games, presented as the “fifth ceremony” of this edition.

What is it about? In a way, according to officials, to celebrate those who “made the success of the Paris 2024 Games”. On Saturday, September 14, between 3:30 p.m. and 6 p.m., a parade will be organized on the Champs-Elysées, from Avenue Georges V to the Arc de Triomphe.

After a formal ceremony, the Place de l’Etoile will be transformed into “giant dance floor” at 9 p.m. with an open-air concert, before DJs take over from 11 p.m. to midnight.

Who will parade? Nearly 350 athletes from the French Olympic and Paralympic team, whether they are medalists or not. We will see swimmers Léon Marchand and the Portal brothers, athletes Timothée Adolphe and Gloria Agblemagnon, or judokas Teddy Riner and Sandrine Martinet. Volunteers, public officials, organizers and other players in the French sports movement will also be in the spotlight.

Who will sing? Some of the artists who marked the opening and closing ceremonies of the Olympic and Paralympic Games, such as Marc Cerrone, the singers Chris (Christine and the Queens) and Lucky Love, the duo Amadou and Mariam, or the mezzo-soprano Axelle Saint-Cirel, who sang The Marseillaise during the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games on July 26.

Or ? On “the most beautiful avenue in the world”, the Champs-Elysées, ” where France usually comes to gather and celebrate its triumphs”insists Paris 2024.

On which channels? The athletes’ parade is broadcast on France 2 and TF1. The concert on France Télévisions.

4 p.m. – 6 p.m.: Champions parade on the Champs-Elysées to Place de l’Etoile

6:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.: Rekindling of the flame at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and decoration ceremony

9 p.m.: concert with artists from the ceremonies of the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games

11 p.m. – midnight: DJ set from the Arc de Triomphe
