The Confederation of African Football (CAF) will conduct the official draw for the African qualifiers for the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup at the CAF headquarters in Cairo on Thursday, December 12, 2024.
This draw will take place at 2:30 p.m. Cairo time (12:30 p.m. GMT), just after the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup qualifying draw, scheduled for 2:00 p.m. (12:00 p.m. GMT).
Both draws will be broadcast live on the official CAF YouTube channel, CAF TV.
The FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup 2026 will bring together twenty-four (24) nations, of which four (4) will represent Africa.
During the 2024 edition, held in Colombia, Cameroon, Ghana and Nigeria wore African colors. Nigeria ended in the round of 16, while Cameroon and Ghana’s journeys ended in the group stage.
Official Draw Procedures
The 24 nations involved are :
Algeria, Angola, Benin, Botswana, Burundi, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Congo, DRC, Ivory Coast, Djibouti, Egypt, Equatorial Guinea, Eswatini, Ethiopia, Gabon, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Kenya, Malawi, Mali, Morocco, Mozambique, Namibia, Niger, Nigeria, Rwanda, Senegal, South Africa, South Sudan, Tanzania, Togo, Tunisia, Uganda, Zambia, Zimbabwe.
