New York Islanders Quebec forward Anthony Duclair participated in the team’s morning skate on Tuesday.
Duclair has been out of competition since October 19 due to a lower body injury. Originally he was supposed to be away for a little less than two months.
Duclair joined the Islanders this summer after signing a 4-year contract worth US$14 million on July 1.
In five games with his new team, he scored two goals and collected one assist.
He scored 24 goals and had 18 assists in 73 games with the San Jose Sharks and Tampa Bay Lightning last season.
In his career, he has 148 goals and 158 assists in 568 games with the New York Rangers, Arizona Coyotes, Chicago Blackhawks, Columbus Blue Jackets, Ottawa Senators, Florida, Sharks, Lightning and Islanders.
Allen injured, Devils recall Poulter
The New Jersey Devils have recalled goaltender Isaac Poulter. He will be Jakob Markstrom’s assistant this evening when the Devils receive a visit from the Toronto Maple Leafs.
Annoyed by an injury, the nature of which has not been revealed, veteran goalkeeper Jake Allen is however not expected to be absent for a long period.
This is the third time since the start of his career that Poulter has been called up by the Devils, but he has yet to see action in the National Hockey League.
Légaré returns to the AHL
The New Jersey Devils have reinstated the name of forward Nathan Bastian in their lineup and at the same time sold forward Nathan Légaré to the Utica Comets, in the American League.
In three games since his recall, the 23-year-old Quebecer has been shut out and posted a differential of -1.
For his part, Bastian had collected two goals and three assists in 12 games before falling in action on November 1. He injured his jaw following a fight against Ryan Lomberg of the Calgary Flames.
