Canadian interim coach Cindy Tye expects South Korea to offer a different style than Iceland last Friday when the two nations meet Tuesday in Spain, last released for Canada this year.

South Korea, 19e in the world, has just suffered a 5-0 beating at the hands of Spain (third) on Friday. Canada, meanwhile, drew 0-0 with Iceland in Murcia, the site of Tuesday’s clash.
Sixth in the world, Canada also drew 1-1 against Spain during the October international window, in their first match since their elimination in the quarter-finals of the Olympic tournament.
One thing is certain: South Korea will not present the same physical challenge as Iceland, 13e nation of the women’s chessboard.
The Canadians are 7-1-1 all-time against South Korea and are undefeated in their last five meetings. Their last match was in June 2022, a 0-0 draw played in Toronto.
Canada will be without injured Kadeisha Buchanan, Sydney Collins, Cloé Lacasse, Évelyne Viens, Jade Rose and Quinn. Forward Jordyn Huitema is unavailable for personal reasons.
The Canadians have compiled an 8-0-7 record this season. Three of those ties turned into shootout losses. They also won a shootout match.
Tye, who manages the under-20 players, is in charge of the November and December friendlies while Soccer Canada is looking for a new head coach.
