For two games, Mike Matheson has been absent from the Canadian’s lineup. He is treating a wound.
We don’t know how serious it is or not and that’s why we had to monitor him during the Canadian’s training. And obviously, he shouldn’t be doing so badly this afternoon.
For what? Because he trains with the rest of the group.
This information alone did not tell us if he will be able to play tomorrow, but we agree that seeing him practice for the first time since his absences is good news.
When he plays, he stabilizes the Canadiens’ defense – and he forces the young guys to give everything to keep their place in the lineup.
Remember that CH, which trains in New Jersey today, will play in New York tomorrow afternoon. Subsequently, Sunday afternoon, it will be Boston which will be on the menu.
Having it would be ideal.
What’s interesting is that Matheson trained with Lane Hutson. He therefore seems to be a regular in training, which is not a bad thing for the future.
Jayden Struble seemed to be too much. He was the one who would have skipped his turn on Tuesday, if Matheson had been able to play.
The other player to watch is of course Patrik Laine. He’s getting closer to a return (it shouldn’t necessarily be at the end of the week) and let’s say that it’s quite anticipated in Montreal.
Today he skated with the others. But as the trios had not changed, we should not expect to see him play tomorrow.
In burst
– For what?
– Why not?
– Bonjour.
