Alpine skiing – First speed events at Beaver Creek: Presentation, program and how to watch Cyprien Sarrazin and Alexis Pinturault

Ski World Cup at Beaver Creek: Athletes to follow with Cyprien Sarrazin, Alexis Pinturault and Marco Odermatt

Winner of three downhills last year, the French Cyprien Sarrazin marked the 2023-2024 season with his performances and his talent. With his three victories, he was the most successful downhiller of the season and finished in a very good second place in the specialty ranking behind the Swiss Marco Odermatt.

The duel between the Frenchman and the Swiss which kept fans in suspense last year should continue in Colorado.

Winner of the general classification, giant slalom, Super-G and downhill, Marco Odermatt had an exceptional 2023-2024 season by winning four crystal globes, a first since 2001. However, at the first giant in Sölden (Austria), the Swiss went out in the first round, something unprecedented for him since February 2021… How will he react?

The American Bryce Bennett is coming off his best season and will want to shine at home. Last year, he won two downhills, including the first of the season in Val Gardena in Italy.

On the French side, in addition to Cyprien Sarrazin, we will have an eye on Nils Allègre et Alexis Pinturault.

At 30, the former achieved his first World Cup success last year during the super-G in Garmisch-Partenkirchen (Germany).

Finally The door will make his return to competition after his serious knee injury last January. The overall winner of the World Cup in 2021 is launching a new challenge at 33: succeeding in speed events after a glorious career in giant slalom and combined.
