Guest of the program Retour Gagnant on Eurosport on Wednesday, Arthur Cazaux spoke about his year 2024 and his objectives for 2025. He notably spoke about his round of 16 at the Australian Open which got off to a good start his season:I went through all the emotions, positive and negative. I started off really well: in my first tournament, I won a title (the Nouméa Challenger, Editor’s note). I’m following up really well with the Australian Open with lots of firsts: first Top 10 beaten, first victory in five sets, first time in the second week of a Grand Slam” he remembered.
After ending the year with a round of 16 at Bercy, Cazaux will end the year in 63rd place in the world. In 2025 he will work with Breton Sam Sumyk, former coach of Victoria Azarenka and Garbine Muguruza: “We talked a lot about work objectives, not necessarily about results or rankings. Deep down, I want to get closer to the Top 30 next year. I had already set myself the Top 50 this year, unfortunately, I was not able to achieve it. » The young Montpellier embodies a young generation of French people, with Humbert, Fils and Mpetshi Perricard, capable of achieving great performances in 2025.
