Morocco launches fierce fight against a European giant

Algeria To steal a rising nugget, Morocco is launching into a huge standoff against a large European country.

Abdellah Ouazane, a young Moroccan prodigy of only 15 years old, is at the center of a sporting battle between the Royal Moroccan Football Federation and the Dutch federation. Currently at Ajax Amsterdam, the talented winger is attracting the attention of the biggest European clubs, but also national authorities.

The young player, considered one of the greatest hopes in Dutch football, is being courted by the Batavian federation. Sources close to the matter revealed that she is increasing contacts with Ouazane and his family, in the hope of convincing him to play for the “Oranje”. But despite this pressure, Abdellah seems determined to honor his Moroccan origins. He has already expressed his desire to represent Morocco on the international scene, a decision which has not, however, discouraged the Dutch, who are determined to turn the situation around.

Ouazane recently made a strong impression during the U17 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying tournament with the Lionceaux de l’Atlas, scoring two decisive goals. This tournament helped confirm his immense potential, attracting the attention of clubs like Saint-Germain, Manchester City and Inter Milan, who are closely monitoring his progress. Trained at Ajax Amsterdam since the age of 7, the young prodigy is promised a brilliant future, whether with Morocco or the Netherlands.

Ouazane’s situation highlights the fierce competition between nations to attract precocious talent. It remains to be seen what choice he will make, a choice which could mark a turning point in his international career.
