Okan Buruk, the coach of Turkish club Galatasaray, has praised the remarkable performances of Moroccan international Hakim Ziyech, expressing admiration for his contributions since joining the team.
At a press conference ahead of Galatasaray’s match against AZ Alkmaar in the Europa League, Buruk highlighted Ziyech’s unique talent.
“Ziyech has made important contributions to Galatasaray. Sure, he’s had some injuries, but he’s doing everything he can to be ready for games“, he declared, before commenting on the future of the Atlas Lion.
“Ziyech’s contract contains renewal clauses, linked to the number of matches he plays, as was the case last season. If he meets these conditions, he will stay with us for another year. He played a key role last season, and he is working hard putting in some great performances. It’s difficult to do without a player of his value.”he clarified.
These statements from Buruk reflect an improvement in relations between him and Ziyech, after a period of tension. Attention is now focused on the opportunities that the player could receive to return to his usual level and shine, whether in the Turkish Süper Lig or in European competitions.
Note that Hakim Ziyech has played eight games this season with Galatasaray, starting as a starter in three of them and coming on as a substitute in five others. The club’s supporters will be hoping to see more of his talent on the pitch.
