NBA: Atlanta and Capela’s exploit against Cleveland

With Genevan Clint Capela (30 years old) in its lineup, Atlanta won a benchmark victory on the night from Wednesday to Thursday in the regular season of the NBA championship. The Hawks indeed won in Cleveland, against the ogre of the North American professional league (124-135). Before welcoming their Georgia opponents to Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse, the Cavaliers had won 17 of their first 18 games since the start of the 2024-2025 campaign.

Facing the team led by Donovan Mitchell (30 points), Atlanta forced the decision in the second portion of the duel, winning the third (by 6 points) and fourth (by 8 points) quarters. To achieve this, he was able to count on the strong contribution of De’Andre Hunter (26 points) and Jalen Johnson (22).

Used for 19 minutes by his coach Quin Snyder, Clint Capela was credited with 2 points, 3 assists and 9 rebounds.

In the Eastern Conference standings, the Hawks are 9th with a record of 8 wins and 11 losses.

The round was less rosy for Washington, which suffered a 13th consecutive disappointment. In their Capital One Arena, the Wizards quickly lost all their illusions against the Los Angeles Clippers who won 96-121. The Californian franchise already led by 11 units at the end of the first quarter.

The Valais rookie Kyshawn George (20 years old) sweated for 26 minutes in the Sorcerers jersey. He scored 2 points, distributed 1 assist and grabbed 4 rebounds.
