Still looking for a real number 9, Chelsea are hesitating between two offensive “monsters”: Victor Osimhen and Viktor Gyökeres.
Currently on the podium of the Premier League, the Blues plan to strengthen themselves from the winter transfer window to become serious contenders for the title. According to the British press, the lack of an effective scorer remains a priority for Enzo Maresca’s team. Two main targets emerge: Victor Osimhen (25 years old) and Viktor Gyökeres (26 years old), although these files could wait until next summer.
Regarding Osimhen, the Nigerian confirmed his wish to finish the season at Galatasaray, where he is on loan. However, the Turkish club would not have the necessary resources to acquire him permanently, and Naples would place him on the transfer list for an amount estimated between 60 and 70 million euros, according to Football Transfers.
For his part, the Swede Gyökeres is also coveted. According to the Portuguese media RecordChelsea would be the favorite to recruit the striker from Sporting CP and would consider an offer of 85 million euros this winter, with the idea of immediately loaning him to the Lisbon club until the end of the season. It remains to be seen which of these two options will best suit the Blues’ ambitions.
