Brendan Gallagher had never done this in 12 years

Brendan Gallagher handed out no fewer than 10 hits Tuesday night against the Utah club.

In 12 years in the National Hockey League, he had never done that, imagine.

“It’s huge,” said Renaud Lavoie, Wednesday, during his daily column JiC. When we say that there are players who are not working and who are not involved… Gallagher, since the start of the season, has been in the other camp.

It would be good, continued Lavoie, for this to inspire his teammates.

“It would be so much fun if his leadership was even more respected and if he had children, if we followed him a little more.”

Binnington? “Scandalous”

Samuel Montembeault’s candidacy with Canada for the 4 Nations Showdown was once again addressed by Lavoie, who noted that the Canadiens goalkeeper’s statistics in November were excellent.

Montembeault seems to be fighting for the third goalie position, as everything indicates that Jordan Binnington and Adin Hill have already been chosen.

“Adin Hill, I’m willing, but Binnington, it’s scandalous,” reacted host Jean-Charles Lajoie.

“Who is the general manager?” replied Lavoie, referring to Doug Armstrong, the general manager of the St. Louis Blues.
