PSG. Nasser Al-Khelaïfi accused by a Franco-Algerian lobbyist, the validity of an agreement examined

A Franco-Algerian lobbyist asked the courts on Tuesday to cancel an agreement signed in 2020 with Nasser Al-Khelaïfi, by which he undertook to hand over any “confidential document” targeting the Qatari boss of PSG, believing that he had accepted under the constraint.

Held in a 2 m² dungeon

This agreement, signed on July 10, 2020, aimed according to those close to “NAK” to prevent the distribution of stolen intimate photos. But according to Tayeb Benabderrahmane, it was a question of gagging him while he held political and financial documents “explosives”. During the civil hearing at the judicial court, Tayeb Benabderrahmane, former adviser to the National Human Rights Committee of Qatar, recounted having been arrested in January 2020 in Doha, taken “with a hood in a 2 m² dungeon”where he stayed “standing in front of a wall”blindfolded, watched by « agents ».

According to his account, he was then transferred to another prison before being released on July 1, “under house arrest” in a hotel with a ban on leaving the territory until October 31, 2020. According to his thesis, “NAK” is behind his arrest and has, via his lawyers and his brother who was head of the Qatari intelligence office, conditioned his release on the signing of this agreement on July 10, 2020. “Can we, after five months of detention in complete solitary confinement in a foreign country, sign in an informed manner? »questioned his lawyer, Me Luke Vidal, describing the “violence” et « menaces » of which his client would have been a victim.

Without wanting to debate the reality of his abuse, the lawyer for “NAK”, Me Marie Burguburu, developed another story. Tayeb Benadberrahmane was arrested for “intelligence with the enemy”accused of trying to sell information to the United Arab Emirates, a regional rival. According to her, “NAK” is unrelated to this arrest and was only aware of it in May. For the lawyer, the protocol is valid. Tayeb Benadberrahmane did not oppose « résistance » at the signing, and was assisted by lawyers and free to move, to communicate and to request the French embassy when he initialed.

She also maintains that he has since violated the protocol and asks him to pay 5 million euros to his client. She accuses him of having kept a copy of the content of potentially compromising digital media, in order to blackmail him for “get a lot of money”.

In a separate criminal investigation, Tayeb Benadberrahmane is indicted in particular for having, with a former police officer and PSG employee and the ex-butler of “NAK”, stolen intimate images of Nasser Al-Khelaïfi. Another investigation, for potential torture in prison in Qatar, is underway. The court will deliver its decision on April 29, 2025.
