Our former journalist and favorite of Quebecers Marc-André Perreault honored us with his presence on Tuesday during the daily JiC.
The friendly man, who left the media world to become a police officer, will be officially sworn in on Thursday.
On November 1, he received his diploma from the Quebec National Police Academy in Nicolet. He plans to take a trip to the Bell Center for the game between the Canadiens and Utah in the evening to meet up with his former colleagues.
“Things are going really well, the children are doing well,” Perreault confided on the set of JiC. I realize how crazy and passionate people are [du CH]. My goodness, we talk about the Canadian in tabaslaque here! It fascinates me.”
Hutson: no sense
“Mapper’s” eyes light up when he talks about Lane Hutson, who had fascinated him since his first development camp with the organization.
“I, Lane Hutson, have never seen this,” he marveled. I remember this guy at the first development camp and I was like, “That doesn’t make sense.” Honestly, it doesn’t make sense!”
Like many fans, however, he is disappointed that the Canadiens have not reached a higher level at the start of the season.
“I find it boring,” he admitted. I really thought this year there was going to be a bigger improvement. We agree, the season is relatively young. I wish it to you [les médias] and to the world, above all. Because I know what a season that never ends is.”
Seasons of misery, Perreault has known a few in his assignments covering the Canadiens.
“It’s not jokes, one year we were looking for things to do,” Mapper said. During a training session in Philadelphia, we were riding a tricycle downstairs with colleagues.”
