The Calgary Stampeders announced they have acquired BC Lions quarterback Vernon Adams Jr. on Tuesday.
In return, Calgary sends its 2025 second and fourth round picks (ninth and 29th overall) and its 2026 second round pick to British Columbia.
The Stamps also get their hands on a fourth-round pick (32nd overall) in 2025 and a third-round pick from the Lions in 2026.
Adams is an eight-year veteran who has played a total of 101 regular season games with British Columbia, the Montreal Alouettes and the Saskatchewan Roughriders.

In 2024, Adams was 6-3 as a starter for the Lions. He completed 197 of 302 passes for 2,929 yards and 16 touchdowns. He had six games of 300+ passing yards and also carried the ball 40 times for 213 yards and three touchdowns. In the West Semifinal, Adams passed for 317 yards and two touchdowns.
During his CFL career, the Pasadena, California native amassed 16,190 passing yards and 96 touchdowns. Adams has a career record of 38-22 as a starting quarterback in the CFL.
