THE END OF THE TOUR IS APPROACHING FOR THE ACADEMY

Several teams have completed their championship. Some still play friendly matches before the winter break, like the YLA juniors who beat Lutry (3-2). The match for our U21s, in 1L, was postponed to 2025 due to snowfall at the Municipal Stadium.

FC Lutry – YS YLA : 2 – 3 (match amical)
“This match aimed to give playing time to players who have played less in recent weeks.
We didn’t start the game well, and the opponent had several chances to open the score. However, on our first big opportunity, resulting from a high recovery, we managed to open the score. We double the stake thanks to a new recovery after a high press. Lutry has three opportunities to come back, but does not take advantage of them. On good use of depth, we triple the bet before the break.
In the second half, we lacked continuity in the game and lost too many balls. Logically, Lutry reduced the score to 3-1 in the 75th minute, then to 3-2 in the 89th minute. We won this match, but the content was far from satisfactory: we lacked control and conceded too many chances. » Vincent Lanoix and Mohamed Hamdache, Junior A coaches.

Team AFF – YSF M18 : 4 – 0
“A first half where we are clearly not up to par, both in terms of aggression and defensive discipline. Communication is also lacking. In the second half, we began to be more present in the duels and managed to achieve some offensive sequences consistent with the playing principles that we wanted to implement. This match does not call into question the good progress of the players nor their performances in recent weeks. For the second round, we will continue to work on our principles, with patience and perseverance. » Maxime Champod and Rayan Mehrez, U18 coaches.

YS M15 – Genolier : 6 – 3
« A trip to Begnins was on the program for our young people this Saturday. A meeting which allowed us to give playing time to those who have had less until now and to continue to keep the rhythm with a view to approaching our last two championship matches in the best possible conditions. After a difficult start, the boys had a good first half, scoring two goals. Our opponents today had difficulty defending, especially on our ball releases.

In the second half, the team continued to work and scored two more goals. However, we experienced weak weather which we were unable to manage. Genolier took the opportunity to score two goals, including one from a corner. In two games we have conceded three goals from set pieces, something we definitely need to improve on. At the end of the match, the boys managed to widen the gap to finish with a score of 6-3.
We put in a good performance by applying our playing principles and creating many chances. Heading towards our penultimate championship match, this Saturday against Bienne. Final stretch before a short, well-deserved break for the players. » Gabriel Agosta, Noah Monge and Modou Boye, U15 coaches

YS FE14 – FE14 Acorn Tray

YS – ACVF : 1-0
YS – LS : 0-0
YS – La Côte: 0-0
YS – Riviera : 0-1

« For this first FE14 partnership in 11-a-side football, our players showed determination, despite a lack of cues and automatisms. Over 100 minutes of play, actions built from the back to the opposing goal were rare. We had a lot of difficulty using the available spaces to avoid duels and get out of the density.
Individual play with a ball is still too frequent, which limits our collective progress. It is essential to understand that it is easier and more efficient to work together.
It is time for our players to think collectively, because we have the capabilities to produce a more fluid and efficient game. Learning continues, but be careful not to repeat the same mistakes. » Nicolas Phommarath, Michel Frutiger, Olivier Wütrich and Mickael Castejon, FE14 coaches.
