International Construction Week attracts more than 46,000 professionals in 2024

The International Construction Week 2024, organized by Ifema Madrid, closed its doors on November 8 on a very positive note, affirming the recovery and dynamism of the sector. Bringing together 46,737 professional participants and 560 companies, this flagship event, including trade shows such as Construtec, Veteco, Smart Doors and Piscimad, has established itself as an essential lever for the entire construction value chain.

A crossroads for all construction players
The diversity of participants reflects the breadth of the sector:
– Developers and renovation companies: 28%
– Architects: 7%
Distributors and wholesalers: 15%
– Installers and craftsmen: 34%
This mix of professional profiles reinforced the role of the Week as a space for meeting and collaboration, covering all stages, from design to infrastructure maintenance.

Foreign participation has reached a milestone, reaching 16% of visitors, with a strong presence of professionals from Portugal, Morocco, Germany, Italy, and .

Additionally, Latin American countries such as Colombia, Brazil and Mexico made up 15% of international visitors, highlighting the growing importance of this region in economic exchanges.

Mexico, the guest country of this edition, marked a strategic turning point with bilateral meetings between companies and institutions, as well as the announcement of the first International Construction Week Mexico planned for Guadalajara. This project aims to expand the reach of the event in Latin America.

Over four days, specialized conferences and forums explored trends and issues in the sector:

First Building the Future Congress, in partnership with Alimarket.
BIM forum and discussions on energy efficiency.
Architecture Forum, hosted by the College of Architects of Madrid.

These activities consolidated the role of the Week as a platform for innovation and training, integrating sustainable solutions and business opportunities for the construction sector.
