The Pro League weekend resulted in a few red cards in the Jupiler Pro League. The prosecution made its request for sanctions known.
The 6-0 defeat of La Gantoise at Anderlecht will hurt a lot. The Buffalos particularly deplore two exclusions, namely Jordan Torunarigha and Matisse Samoise. The first city had received two yellow cards, while the second had seen red directly.
The prosecution requests a suspension of two matches, including one firm, for Samoise. He also receives a fine of 1,500 euros, reports Sudinfo.
Same story for Charles Vanhoutte. The latter was sent off after an uncontrolled and dangerous tackle on the ankles of Siebe Schrijvers.
Sint-Truiden not spared
The penalty is heavier for Isaiah Delpuposent off during Sint-Truiden’s 7-0 defeat at Club Brugge. He risks three firm suspension meetings (and one suspended sentence), in addition to a fine of 3,500 euros.
The clubs concerned have the choice of whether or not to accept the penalties proposed by the prosecution. In the event of refusal, the case will be examined by the Disciplinary Council of the Belgian Union.
