This Tuesday is an important day for Deinze. The football club must demonstrate that it can raise 350,000 euros to repay several creditors. The Ghent Company Court also made a serious decision.
The soap opera around Deinze never seems to want to end. Today the club will appear in court. Several creditors, including Lierse, took him to court.
The new leaders will have to demonstrate that they are able to advance the 350,000 euros requested. If this is not possible, a liquidator will be appointed to determine how creditors can get their money back.
The club under supervision
The Ghent Enterprise Court also made a radical decision. Indeed, KMSK Deinze has been placed under temporary supervision, according to Het Nieuwsblad. This happened last season with KV Ostend, shortly before the bankruptcy of KVO.
Pieter Huyghe and Benny Goossens have the difficult task of saving Deinze. They have 21 days to achieve this. Only they are authorized to make decisions for the club.
This therefore means that Doudou Cissé, who took over the club with the Luxembourg investor group AAD three weeks ago, as well as CEO Céline Mawet are no longer authorized to decide on the continuation of operations.
