In front of their home crowd, the Warriors collapse again against the Nets! • USA

The day after their victory in Sacramento, the Nets cast a chill in the Chase Center from the start of the match thanks to their skill from afar (8/18 in the first quarter). A 13-3 led by Cam Thomas (23 points) then quickly gave them a nine-length lead (26-17). Their aggressive defense forces five turnovers from Golden State and it takes four 3-pointers from Stephen Curry (28 points at 8/16 at 3-points, 7 assists) and Buddy Hield to keep the Warriors in ambush (34-30) .

Steve Kerr's men then continued their momentum. The bench passes a 17-5 in Brooklyn to regain control of the match. Gary Payton II does not let Cam Thomas go, Brandin Podziemski delights with 6 assists and Moses Moody adds 12 points at 100% success. The Nets defense suffers and the gap increases to +12 (62-50). It took three free throws from Thomas and a 3-pointer from Jalen Wilson (18 points, 6 rebounds) to see Brooklyn go below ten points at the break (67-58).

L'étincelle Schröder

A 3+1 from Stephen Curry followed by a dunk from Trayce Jackson-Davis put Golden State at +18 after five minutes of play in the second half (86-68). But as in their last match in San Antonio, the Warriors failed to kill the match and saw their opponents reignite the suspense. The lost balls kept coming and the duo Cam Thomas – Ziaire Williams (19 points, 9 rebounds) allowed the Nets to end the period with a 19-6 (92-87)!

The Chase Center suddenly goes silent when Dennis Schröder scores 8 points in a row to start a run (18-7) for Brooklyn which puts the Warriors at -6 (105-99).

Eight points from Stephen Curry restart the machine but the Golden State defense fails to slow down the Nets. Dennis Schröder, Trenton Watford and Ziaire Williams drive the point home while Andrew Wiggins (18 points) misses a lay-up and Draymond Green misses three of his four free throws (119-110). With a minute to play, it's Trenton Watford who crucifies the Warriors with a 3-pointer, the 20th of the game for Brooklyn!

WHAT TO REMEMBER

– The Nets are still imposing their style. After trapping Sacramento the day before, the Nets ate the Warriors with the same sauce. Jordi Fernandez's men play fast, attack the rim, take plenty of 3-point shots, and defend all-court almost the entire match. The Warriors had gained the upper hand before giving in under the onslaught of Dennis Schröder's gang. The Nets finished the game at 20/45 at 3-points and went to the line 30 times against a helpless Golden State defense.

– The Warriors are collapsing like in San Antonio. Two days after conceding a 43-10 in the last thirteen minutes in San Antonio, the Warriors conceded a 37-13 straddling the end of the third quarter and the beginning of the fourth to lose two games in a row for the first time of the season. In both cases, it is Golden State's defense that is to blame. While they started the season in the league's Top 5 defensively, Steve Kerr's men have slowly but surely returned to the bad habits of last season. They were unable to hold the one-on-ones of Cam Thomas and then Dennis Schroder, and behind them they lost all rigor in their rotations by assisting from the corners, giving a multitude of open shots and free throws to their opponents .

– Return with fanfare for Dennis Schröder. Ill and absent against the Kings, Dennis Schröder had been relatively discreet after three quarters. Everything changed at the start of the last period. The German scored his team's first eight points and became unstoppable! He indeed scored 17 of his 31 points in the last twelve minutes to put his team in front and continue to put pressure on Golden State to end up making them break.
