The former unused football field of the delegated municipality of Boulogne, in the middle of a green setting, will soon be equipped with a City stadium®. The earthworks for the complex began in November.
This 18 m by 35 m facility will have a basketball court surrounded by a two-lane track. Another basketball backboard will be positioned outside, at the end of the building.
There are also plans to install a ping-pong table. Games for children (swings, spiders, etc.) will be placed inside a large gravel pit. A children’s sports course will be set up nearby.
Joël Mercier, deputy mayor of Boulogne, appreciates: This achievement is part of the dynamics of the municipality, this project was developed in consultation with associations and residents. It is an additional space for practicing sports, playing, meeting and conviviality, with free and open access.
Located in the middle of the sports complex, between the sports hall and the official football field, this City stadium® will be surrounded by a landscaped and shaded area with a picnic table. It will be set up by technical service agents and volunteers.
