More and more women are having breast reduction: “I’ve come back to life since I had it done”

Large breasts can have a psychological and health impact because women find it difficult to play sports and move around.specifies Dr Fanny Ballieux, surgeon specializing in breast reduction. “We’re no longer in demand for big breasts because it’s less fashionable now.”

A refund, under certain conditions

Its clientele is mainly made up of women aged between 25 and 45. “At 65, we are in postmenopause and the breasts can increase in size. Breast reduction can be reimbursed by mutual insurance under certain conditions: the operation must be carried out in a hospital environment and a minimum of 350 g must be removed per breast. “This is huge and a big reduction as one cup is around 120g.”underlines Dr Fanny Ballieux.
