De Zerbi's incredible decision ahead of Monaco clash

This Sunday, Olympique de Marseille made up for their 3-1 defeat against Auxerre at the Vélodrome by winning 3-1 against RC Lens. This is the 6th away victory for the Olympians who are in 3rd place with 23 points. But nothing to brag about for Roberto De Zerbi who is aware of a worrying situation: OM have only won once in five home games. Sunday evening, a shock awaits Mason Greenwood's teammates with the reception of AS Monaco, second, which they could overtake in the event of victory. So to ride on this positive result and improve group cohesion, the Italian coach made a surprising decision.

Going green until Friday

This meeting is of capital importance to maintain the good start to the season for Marseille, De Zerbi knows this and is keen to change training habits this week. From Tuesday, the players as well as the technical team and the sports management are going out for a four-day mini-training two hours from the Commanderie in an as yet unknown location. The former Brighton coach wants to keep the whole group under pressure before the clash against the Monegasques, victorious in their last three matches in all competitions.
