The fall tour of the XV of France has just come to an end. And this Monday, November 25, Stade Toulousain has recovered a good part of its internationals, while a trip to Racing 92 in the Top 14 is looming on Saturday (2:30 p.m.).
Toulouse: Ramos and Cros in training
Having played the entire autumn tour with the XV of France as number 10, Thomas Ramos was present at training this Monday. Just like François Cros et Julien Marchandbut also Italian Ange Capuozzo. They apply for the match at Racing 92.
7 internationals absent, but…
On the other hand, Antoine Dupont, named best player in the world at 7, Alexandre Roumat, Peato Mauvaka, Thibaud Flament and Emmanuel Meafou, but also the Argentinian Juan Cruz Mallia and the Scotsman Blair Kinghorn did not train this Monday. However, they are not officially on vacation, and a decision will be made during the week.
On the other hand, the Japanese Naoto Saito will cut all week. He will be absent against Racing 92.
It is therefore difficult to determine, for the moment, the exact number of Toulouse internationals who will be mobilized for the trip to Racing 92.
Pita Ahki injured
The bad news in the ranks of Toulouse is the injury to Pita Ahki. The center, who came out during the break during the improved victory against Perpignan, suffers from a “small tear” in one thigh, according to an internal source at the Haut-Garonne club. His absence shouldn’t be too long.
Costes and Brennan return
On the other hand, Paul Costesinjured in an ankle with the XV of France, and Joshua Brennanwho had been hit in the orbital floor, left the infirmary and applied for a place in the group against Racing 92.
An infirmary where there is always Richie Arnold (shoulder) and Joël Merkler (back). The latter, in treatment until Wednesday, remains very uncertain for Saturday’s meeting.
Placines still not fit
Concerning Alban Placines, the latter was tested this Monday morning regarding his knee. He did not appear during collective training this afternoon, and will therefore not be lined up against Racing 92.
Finally, things are taking their course among the long-term injured. Nepo Laulala is not expected before 2025. Kalvin Gourgues is still there, while Cyril Baille, who has resumed contact training, should be able to match before the end of the calendar year.
