The 2024 Venice Biennale, focused on the “Global South”, records 700,000 admissions

This 60e dense and different edition by the Brazilian Adriano Pedrosa follows on the heels of the 2022 edition which welcomed 800,000 visitors, a record.

The 60th Venice Biennale ended on Sunday evening, November 24, after a week of final performances at the Arsenal and months of intense attendance, since its crowded but rainy opening at the end of April. With 700,000 tickets sold (an average of 3,321 visitors per day), to which are added the 27,966 professionals of the inaugural week (including 4,389 journalists), it is a resounding success. Nearly 40,769 adults visited the Biennale in groups. 24,519 experienced it on guided tours. From April 20 to November 13, the Biennale site – in clear qualitative improvement! – welcomed 1.6 million unique visitors. On social networks, posts from the Biennale generated 101 million views and 1.7 million interactions.
