R2. SC Morlaix – AS Brest: 3-3
With the support of the wind, the Morlaisiens immediately took matters in hand and did not take long to materialize their domination through Khallouf following an overflow from Bellec (1-0, 9′). They maintained their territorial occupation but without danger for the asbeist goal. Ideally launched full axis by Guillermou, Mbogo missed his face-to-face in front of Cabioch (33′). Despite mastering the game, Morlaix was unable to make a difference until the break.
On the restart, when Mbogo found the post (49′), he did not miss the opportunity to widen the gap (2-0.50′). In the process, the latter served Khallouf in the area which increased the score (3-0.53′). The Brestois reacted by being terribly effective with Paugam whose splendid volley left Le Dantec without reaction (3-1.61′) then with Olivier on a long free kick which surprised Le Dantec (3-2.80′). It was Tissier who got the equalizer whose powerful shot from 18m surprised Le Dantec (3-3, 89′).
Paugam even missed the inevitable in stoppage time (93′). “Despite our renewed offensive drive, we must defend better to win this match against an efficient and realistic team,” analyzed Steven Coat.
