Ghent boosted their confidence just before the international break by winning 5-0 against Standard Liège. This Sunday evening, the Buffalos travel to Lotto Park to face Anderlecht.
The RSCA remains 6 out of 6 in the league, with nine goals scored and none conceded. Wouter Vrancken therefore expects a complicated match.
Vrancken praises Anderlecht
“With Hubert, there is a certain positive flow at Anderlecht. They have a good team and individually, there is a lot of quality. Plus, they are playing at home, so we will have to be strong and courageous to score points But we have confidence in ourselves,” said the Ghent coach at a press conference.
Despite Vrancken’s praise for Anderlecht, the Buffalos coach believes in a victory for his team at Lotto Park. He also feels that his players are motivated: “This week, my players showed quality and intensity in training. I hope they can reproduce the same thing on the pitch this Sunday.”
Ranking
As a reminder, Ghent is currently 5th in the championship with 22 points. Anderlecht is one place ahead with 23 points.
