Club: 3 more years with PSG for Hakimi, and an increased salary

Announced several weeks ago, Achraf Hakimi's contract extension at PSG was signed a few days ago and the Moroccan extended it for three years in . He will also increase his salary significantly.

It is a long-term file that PSG completed discreetly a few days ago, namely the contract extension of Achraf Hakimi. If the signing has not yet been made official by the club, it took place recently according to information from L'Equipe which has also been confirmed since the announcement at the start of the evening. Arriving in 2021 from Inter Milan and under contract until June 2026 only, Hakimi signed up for three more years with PSG, i.e. until June 2029, like Zaire-Emery a few months ago .

While Hakimi has often been linked to a return to Real Madrid, his training club, the 26-year-old right-back has nevertheless decided to stay even longer in Paris, having come back to life since the arrival of Luis Enrique on the Parisian bench in the summer of 2023. The departure of his great friend Kylian Mbappé had been seen as a possible reason for departure but this was not the case and the Moroccan had even given his agreement in principle for this extension in in the heart of summer.

A salary that makes Hakimi one of the highest paid at PSG

Now, everything is settled between the two parties and Hakimi will also benefit from a salary increase with this new contract signed according to L'Equipe. The new salary of the right side is not known precisely but the sports newspaper ensures that this “salary increase should place him among the best paid players in the squad”. A salary which also corresponds to his status in the team, he who has been vice-captain since this summer.

Last year, Hakimi's salary at PSG was estimated at almost 9 million euros gross per year. With this increase, it is possible to consider new remuneration around 12 or 13 million per year, like Marquinhos or Hernandez who are the highest salaries in the workforce among the club's defensive players. Like most of his teammates, it is also more than likely that his contract, negotiated with Luis Campos when he arrived under Leonado's tenure, contains many more performance and bonus clauses. than the previous one.

As always, this new salary for Hakimi at PSG should appear in the press over the coming months.
