Eliesse Ben Seghir makes Adi Hütter happy. The AS Monaco coach was full of praise for his young player, saying he was destined for a great career.
Both in selection and in club, Eliesse Ben Seghir is unanimous. The 19-year-old midfielder has been one of the most successful players in the French team, despite injuries which have slowed his progress, which has not escaped his coach, who considers the Moroccan international to be “a very rare profile”.
“Last season was very difficult for Eliesse. He was injured twice but this season he is decisive, he scores, he passes, and he can make a difference. We have few players who are as comfortable one-on-one. He has a very rare profile and has everything to have a great career”said the Monegasque coach.
As a reminder, Eliesse Ben Seghir is still in competition to win the best player of the year prize awarded at the CAF Awards.
The Lion of the Atlas claims the trophy against the Ivorians Karim Konaté and Oumar Diakité, the Gambian Yankuba Minteh, and the Senegalese Lamine Camara. Ben Seghir shone during the 2024 Olympic Games with Morocco U23 which obtained the bronze medal.
