Several National Hockey League (NHL) teams have reportedly shown interest in former coach Joel Quenneville, who has been eligible to return to the circuit since the summer.
The man who notably won three Stanley Cups with the Chicago Blackhawks has no longer had a position in the NHL since 2021. The Florida Panthers fired him after seven games, when the 66-year-old man was splashed by the Kyle Beach affair.

Remember that Quenneville and the general manager of the Hawks in 2010, Stan Bowman, were punished for having turned a blind eye to the torture of the hockey prospect who had been targeted by video coach Brad Aldrich.
Quenneville and Bowman both received NHL endorsements this summer. The second was hired as GM by the Edmonton Oilers, but “Coach Q” is still looking for a position.
“He arouses interest to such an extent that teams have called NHL executives to be certain that if they decide to hire him, there would be no problem,” indicated the TVA informant. Sports Renaud Lavoie during a television segment, Wednesday evening.
Quenneville started coaching in the NHL in 1994-1995 as an assistant with the Quebec Nordiques. He later managed the St. Louis Blues (1997 to 2004), Colorado Avalanche (2005 to 2008), Blackhawks (2008 to 2018) and Panthers (2019 to 2021).
With 969 victories to his credit, he is the second most prolific head coach in the history of the circuit.
