To build on the good results of Rugby sevens in France in recent months, with a world champion title and an Olympic coronation, the French Rugby Federation and the National Rugby League have extended the system in favor of the provision of some players. As such, the authorities revealed a selection of 14 players, via the “Objective 2028” list, including RC Vannes winger Enzo Benmegal.
The selected players will then be able to be freely requested by the French rugby sevens team during the next two seasons, within a limit of 12 weeks per season (i.e. 84 days). The RCV will therefore have the obligation to release its player if he were to be called up.
A reward for Benmegal
This season, the former Racing 92 player participated in the SuperSevens, a rugby 7s competition with the fourteen Top 14 clubs and the Monaco team. Benmegal and its partners have also qualified for the final phase of the competition, and will challenge Racing 92 next February.
