Divock Origi is on a siding at AC Milan. What if he relaunched elsewhere in Serie A?
Yesterday, we talked about the sad situation of Divock Origi. In addition to his undesirable status at AC Milan, the former Red Devil would also be forced to stay in Italy due to the Italian state’s tax laws regarding foreign workers.
But this summer, Origi was unable to relocate elsewhere in Serie A. And time seemed long to him in Milan: he did not play a single minute of the season and was ordered to go and train with the Primavera. Zlatan Ibrahimovic made no secret of his situation, explaining that the 29-year-old striker “was not part of the club’s plans”.
A burden for AC Milan
However, he still has a contract there until June 2026. His name is therefore likely to be often mentioned from January onwards. According to Calciomercato, Fiorentina would be interested in recruiting him, despite his inconclusive loan to Nottingham last season.
The Italian media explains that Divock Origi is one of the names put forward by management, who wishes to bring in an additional striker alongside Moïse Kean. Milan Djuric and Lorenzo Lucca would be the other two leads.
But it is still far from being won: Fio cannot currently match the salary received by Origi in Milan. He should therefore make a certain effort. Moreover, by then he could have spent the time necessary to leave Italy without being worried by the state. His second part of the season is therefore still uncertain.
