The 10th edition of the Vendée Globe was shaping up to be a record edition… And it’s confirmed!
Nicolas Lunven broke the record for the greatest distance covered in a monohull and solo in 24 hours (546,000 nautical miles) on Wednesday November 13.
Well this record has already been erased from the shelvesthis Wednesday, November 20, by another skipper of the race.
“I’m really sad for you.”
It was Yoann Richomme (Paprec Arkea), one of the big favorites of the competition, who just broke this record.
In 24 hours, the skipper traveled 551,000 nautical miles. And he did not fail to challenge his opponent, on video.
“I'm really sad for you but I stole your world record man! 551,000! Come on, revenge in the south. »
In difficulty in recent days, Yoann Richomme is making a good comeback with a 10th place at 3 p.m.this Wednesday.
