“This club is my second home and my second family,” announced François Déodati during his moral report as president to the general assembly of The JuraTHURSDAY November 14, 2024.

“Titi”, as he is called by the many gymnasts of several generations who had him as a coach, spent a lot of time developing the club from an administrative and sporting point of view.

He was in turn president, vice-president, coach-judge on the trampoline… after having been a gymnast himself! “I joined La Jurassienne in 1956 at the age of 8 and I only left it during my studies in and during my three years of work in the north of the Franche-Comté ».

A growing club

He will therefore hand over the presidency of the association in a few weeks with “ the feeling of duty accomplished during all these years of volunteering”, leaving a club ” in full expansion and in a very good financial situation.

The Jurassienne currently has 320 licensees60 more than the previous season, and employs three people (including one work-study student). Two new sections opened this year (boys gym and adult gym), which are added to innovative disciplines such as acrobatic gymwhich is not practiced anywhere else in the Jura, or even the parkour.

“I leave the keys to the truck with the young guard,” assures Titi with his usual smile, before thanking the supervisors and volunteers for their involvement with the young people.
