RN MP Anchya Bamana trapped by her request for regularization of footballers without residence permits

If the whole island welcomed the feat of the Black Devils of Combani reaching the 7thth round of the Coupe de , teeth are gnashing at the end, their opponents from Crépy-en-Valois having accused them of cheating on medical certificates, the French Football Federation must settle the dispute.

Which broke out when the Mahorais club had had to do without 7 of its regular players who were unable to make the trip due to their administrative situation. They do not in fact have residence permits, reveals the prefect of Mayotte in a letter that we obtained.

A letter addressed to MP Anchya Bamana in response to her request to François-Xavier Bieuville to “urgently regularize the administrative situation of the 7 players in an irregular situation from the Diables Noirs de Combani football team”. The state representative receives requests of this kind every day, but here the matter takes another turn because of the RN label of the Mahorese MP. Le Canard Enchainé has already posted a brief on the subject.

Penalized by the blocking of the foreigners service

It has been almost a year since the prefecture’s immigration services have been regularly blocked by citizen movements.

In his response, the prefect informs that he cannot grant the request due to several elements, about which the deputy should have inquired. First of all, the visa necessary for the trip cannot be provided, the 7 players all being in an irregular situation. Some of them undoubtedly hoped to no longer be so during these qualifications, having submitted their applications for a residence permit “very recently”, but as “sick foreigners”. Complicated when you then want to play a high-level match… As for the other files, they are either incomplete or involve further investigation according to the State representative.

Who also slips that “2 of these 7 players are unfavorably known to the police and gendarmerie services”. We can only encourage the club in its integration efforts, but this is obviously a fact that had escaped the MP.

Without implying proximity between the MP and the groups blocking the foreigners’ service, the prefect nevertheless cites the impossibility of processing the requests. And calls for this blockage to be lifted: “I cannot ignore the fact that this blockage is starting to have a serious impact on the economy, public services and regional development because a number of private sector employees (construction, catering, personal services, etc.) as well as the public (teaching, doctors and para-medical staff of the CHM, community agents, etc.) if we observe the significant number of interventions made by elected officials, institutional managers and business leaders concerning these employees, workers, employees and managers, who, failing to submit their renewed title, find themselves de facto in an irregular situation and see their contracts terminated by their employers. »

We can conclude that personal requests to the prefect, especially from elected officials who oppose illegal immigration, could leak more in the future.
