The summer transfer window is far behind, but the winter transfer period is fast approaching. Clubs are refining their plans, while coaching changes are increasing. Here are the main transfer rumors and news.
Pro League: Club Brugge and Anderlecht on the move
Club Brugge can rub their hands. Joel Ordoñez, their young nugget in central defense, is attracting the attention of the big clubs. Liverpool, Chelsea, Aston Villa and Newcastle are said to be in the running to recruit him. A sum of 30 million euros is already mentioned for the Blauw en Zwart player.
On the Anderlecht side, Kasper Dolberg could also pack his bags. The Dane would have made it known that he aspires to a new challenge. Clubs from the Bundesliga and Premier League are said to be interested in him. The Mauves hope to recover between 10 and 15 million euros during a departure next summer.
Royal Antwerp FC will also have to prepare for a major change. Toby Alderweireld, captain of Antwerp, will end his playing career at the end of the season. The Great Old, however, wishes to keep him in a role within the club after his retirement.
Abroad: departures and ambitions
Arne Slot, who is having an excellent start to his term at Liverpool, could lose a key element. Federico Chiesa, who arrived six months ago, is already considering a return to Serie A. Inter Milan would be in pole position to welcome the Italian striker.
On the Manchester United side, Ruben Amorim is responsible for relaunching the club. We expect intense activity during the winter transfer window. However, priority Sporting CP sensation Viktor Gyökeres will only be available in the summer. The Red Devils could, however, activate his release clause of 100 million euros.
Tedesco’s future in suspense
The Red Devils’ disastrous results have put Domenico Tedesco under pressure. Several voices are being raised to demand his departure. Three Belgian names are emerging as potential successors: Hein Vanhaezebrouck, Michel Preud’homme and Philippe Clement. At the same time, Vincent Mannaert would have explored foreign avenues.
