During a press point held this Tuesday at the Maison des sports in Tarbes, the current president of CD 65 announced he was running again and presented his team.
“Driven by the sole goal of serving Bigourdan Rugby with its specificities, supporting and helping the clubs that make it shine in and beyond the department, with passion and dedication on a daily basis”, it is in these terms that Pierre Jean- Marie, current President of the Hautes-Pyrénées Departmental Rugby Committee, announced her desire to continue the human adventure by surrounding herself with a team of passionate volunteers, competent and of all sensibilities.
On Saturday December 14, 2024, election day, at the committee headquarters, the clubs of our department will decide the future of our rugby.
For Pierre Jean-Marie, “they can and must only count on local strengths and all our volunteers to continue to experience strong moments on and around the pitches, but also to continue to build the future of our rugby through through all our rugby schools, real oval nurseries.”
To support them, “far from national and regional quarrels”, 21 competent, dedicated candidates, without cumulative national or regional mandates, therefore available the day after the elections, are presenting themselves to form the next steering committee.
This committee will be surrounded by competent project managers to flesh out the various commissions.
“A vote of confidence from the clubs will oblige us to all licensees without distinction, to undertake, listen and innovate. We will present our detailed program to the clubs that we will meet during 3 scheduled meetings,” continued the current president of CD 65.
The main points of this program:
Relentlessly and uncompromisingly defend the interests of clubs before national and regional rugby bodies.
Support clubs that wish to do so (administratively, grant research, financial management, regulatory, litigation).
Promote rugby in local schools for the benefit of clubs.
Support rugby schools and pursue certification.
Continue to train club educators to obtain authorization to intervene in the school environment.
Organize with and for the clubs the Terroir finals in all categories.
Promote training clubs.
Recognize and promote club educators through a cohesion day in particular.
Help create an arbitration school.
Inform clubs through appropriate communication.
Make the committee a place for meeting and discussion.
Inform and warn clubs about the excesses of addictions and the responsibility of presidents.
Support clubs in their actions for the benefit of rugby.

“With you and for you, we can experience a human adventure in the service of Rugby Bigourdan and the clubs. Long live rugby, long live our rugby! » concluded Pierre Jean-Marie and his entire team.
