On the occasion of the last tournament of the season of the sevens world Rugby circuit, the spectators of Twickenham (London) were able to attend a comical scene, during a match between France and Samoa.
Led 28-14 by Samoa, for their entry into the London tournament (London Sevens), the last of the World Rugby Sevens circuit calendar, the French were able to receive the support of a surprise guest.

A fox appeared in the middle of the Twickenham lawn, slaloming between the players. Surprising? Not necessarily when you know that there are more than 10,000 foxes in the English capital, or 18 “goupils” per square kilometer, and that the lair of the XV de la Rose is used to visits from these little red animals. In 2011, before England-Scotland, a specimen had already found itself on the lawn, before being escorted outside the enclosure by stewards.

This Saturday, May 20, the animal finished its race in the in-goal, like the Blues on the same action. An insufficient try to overthrow Samoa (28-21), but a nice wink in a successful season for the tricolors.
