Karaoke, quizzes, escape game: they are opening a large leisure complex in

Propose a leisure offer that goes beyond the traditional bowling halls, laser game and karting… This was the objective of Martial and Audrey Corbet when they opened the Brain escape game complex in the Courrouze district in 2014.

“The bet really paid off,” says the founder. “We were the first to bring this concept and people really bought into it.” Since then, two other partners have joined the adventure: Alexandre Pouessel and Sylvain Reverault.

Quiz game madness

A new concept has come out of the hat in recent years with the quiz game. An immersive game where participants compete over several rounds as if they were participating in a show. “It’s a huge box,” says Martial Corbet. “Unlike the escape game, we compete between friends. There is no need to have a huge general knowledge, we make sure that it is accessible to everyone.” A sign of this success, more than 25 franchisees now offer this concept throughout .

If the quiz activities were popular in , the size of the premises in La Courrouze quickly limited the possibilities for development. After a period of prospecting, a new premises twice as large was quickly found to allow the opening of a second location.

“We set up at the beginning of October in a 600 m² space on Route de ,” continues Martial Corbet. “The location appealed to us because it is an axis with a lot of passages. This allowed us to keep the escape game exclusively at La Courrouze and to migrate the quiz game here.”

In this newly inaugurated space, there are two quiz game rooms, two karaoke rooms and three action game rooms with proven games such as Floor is Lava, NeoXpériences and Evil Eyes.

Games rooms are on the rise

“We’ve only been open for a month and there are already a lot of people,” says the founder. “During the week, we have quite a few companies coming to do corporate team building and in the evenings and weekends, it’s more of an individual clientele.”

In the Rennes area, multi-leisure spaces are in any case on the rise. This summer, another complex called Ankor opened its doors near Cesson-Sévigné. On 1400 m², there is a games bar, a quiz game, karaoke and even an action game.
