Equipment manufacturer Modou Dieng denounces the lack of transparency…

At a time when in certain African countries such as Ivory Coast, transparency “ has become commonplace in the sporting world“, Modou Dieng regrets the opposite in his own country.

Equipment manufacturer and member of the Association of Industries Manufacturers and Suppliers of Clothing, Equipment, Sports Accessories in Senegal (RIFA), he does not understand why in Senegal we do not favor local consumption, despite the wishes of the new authorities, ” who even began to set an example« .

He returns to the case of Ivory Coast where the Federation, to equip its team, decided to recruit an equipment manufacturer by launching a call for tenders, in complete transparency. “ And not through cronyism… Equipment manufacturers like TANOR, which are 100% made in Senegal, are struggling to obtain markets in their own country. Unlike Ivory Coast where there is a certain spirit of openness and patriotism“, he regretted.

He also denounces the same scenario at the Olympic Games where they (RIFA) were not involved. They regret that the contract was awarded to a French company called “Majesty”, “without a call for tender”.
