At the end of a busy weekend for BBC Monthey, with two matches and the departure of a player, Gaël Barman came to visit us in the “5 p.m. Mag” on Monday. The news of his team, his return home and his future dreams were discussed.
He does not take this return to Monthey as a step back in his career, on the contrary. After leaving Chablais in 2020 to join Aix-Maurienne then Antibes, Gaël Barman left his luggage “at home” this summer. Not retained by the Sharks while he played in Pro B Hopes, he was one of the six recruits of the Sangliers to attack the 2024-2025 season.

Best player on his team at Friborg
Throughout the matches at the start of the season, Montheysan obtained more and more minutes of play. Over the first seven championship games, he spent an average of 13 minutes on the floor, for 4.3 points and 2.7 rebounds. “ In the first championship matches, I was used less by the coach. But in Nyon and Friborg I had my chance, and I took it. » Seizure, that’s the term.
