Croatia and Denmark won the last two tickets still available for the quarter-finals of the Nations League on Monday evening, November 18, on the last day of the group stage. Pushed by their public in Split, the Croatians sought their qualification by holding Portugal in check, which was assured before the meeting of finishing at the top of group 1 (1-1).
Denmark snatched second qualifying place in Group 4 with a 0-0 draw in Serbia. In the other match, Spain, ticket already in its pocket, beat Switzerland, who no longer had any chance of qualifying (3-2). In group 2, France, thanks to its victory on Sunday in Milan against Italy (3-1), finished first and will play its quarter-final second leg at home. The Squadra Azzurra is also qualified. In group 3, with one day still to go, on Tuesday, the chips are down: Germany is guaranteed to come out on top of its group, ahead of the Netherlands.
